DW 2017: Shift selection doesn't work

Hi, I was used in previous versions of DW of selecting strings of text or lines of codes in an HTML file with "shift" and now in the new 2017 version it seems impossible. Also, when selecting a string of text too quickly inside a tag, it goes back to the start of the line which is very annoying.

Anyone has came across this issue? Did Adobe remove the shift selection shortcut?

Thanks!

Is DW based on Brackets now?

Yes. Have a look at First look at the Dreamweaver CC Beta | Adobe Creative Cloud - YouTube for more.

I just tried it on my Windows 10 macine and it works just fine.  The way I do is to click on the first character from where I want to copy then I press the SHIFT key and use arrow keys to select the rest of the text.  Is this what you are trying to do?  If not can you explain how are you doing the selection.

Thanks.

The way you do it is fine, but before I was able to select a whole line by clicking at the beginning of what I want and click+shift at the end and it would select the whole thing.
