DW constantly freezes up on me

I've been a CC Member for 7 years now and most of the apps I use work ok but I always have a problem with DW freezing up on me. Even after every update, I expect it to be fixed, and it doesn't. I've complained. Nothing happens. I just lost a bunch of work and I'm really sick of trying to operate this way. It happens often - just now twice in about 20 min. It freezes during normal use, not under any operation that is significant. Then I have to force quit to get out of it and restart. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this issue?

    Is it a performance issue i.e. losing control of the workspace for a time or freezing then crashing/or having to force close Dreamweaver?

     

    What OS?

     

    In the first instance disable site cache in your site definition,  if you have a large number of files it can be a killer.

    No.  Freezing up is not normal.

    • Which version of DW CC?
    • Which operating system?
    • Do you have the latest OS updates and graphics drivers?
    • Have you tried restoring preferences?
