DW2017 - Worst Release Ever

I have been an avid dreamweaver user for a long time and this is the first version that I was ever forced to re-install the previous version.  And I am one that typically embraces change. The removal of code coloring was the largest issue for me.  Close second was the the removal of support for legacy ASP and the find and replace windows was the straw the broke the camel's back.  Stop removing things and changing them just to change them.  If you think something is better a different way then just implement an OPTION to have it both ways.

    Thank you for the feedback.

I suggest updating to the latest version 2017.0.1. Some of the issues, like code coloring, have been fixed in the latest update.

The team is busy investigating the other requests, and is working on them for a future update.

    Thanks,

    Preran

Just tried 2017.1 again.  Nice to have my colors back.  Though trying to customize it with the file led me to a bug right away. I can't right click on one of the colors and do code hint tools -> color picker.  Nothing happens.  I had to start a new file and start typing <font color=" to get the little helper hover to get to the color picker.  Then had to keep flipping back and forth between files just to pick colors.  I submitted a "bug" for it.

Yes I can can confirm this as well.  The color picker does not invoke on main.less file variables.

Method: right click on variable color.

Select  Code Hint Tools > Color Picker.

    Nothing happens.

Thank you for sharing your feelings about Dreamweaver CC2017. Many will agree with you although I have accepted the changes, adopted new work flow and am getting on my job.

Now that you have made your view known to your peers (other Dreamweaver users), you may like to make them known where it matters, namely

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!
