Error loading video

I bought a sony handycam in order to create flash sites with video. I uploaded the video to my pc. When I try to import it into flash or dreamweaver, the wizard tells me there is a space or invalid character in the file name or path name. There isn't. In fact, just to be sure, I renamed the video a.mpg and moved it to the root directory c:\. I saved the html file b.html to c:\ . So there are no spaces or special characters. Any suggestions???????

In Dreamweaver, to use the Insert > Flash Video feature, you have to insert
an FLV file. You cannot insert an MPEG file into DW using Insert > Flash
Video. To convert your MPEG into an FLV, you will need to do this through
Flash 8 Professional. For information on converting to FLV, please refer to
the Flash 8 documentation.
