Hi,

I am going around in circles here ... I had opened my extension manager and do not see the HTML5 Pack listed. SO - I went to the area for the updater to install it - http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/downloads_updaters.html - and when I attempt to install THAT - I receive an error message stating "ERROR LOADING UPDATER OVERFLOW". So - bottom line - I can't get at trying to install the HTML 5 Pack - and really need some assistance to see what I CAN do. Does anyone have any suggestions? BTW - I have CS5.5 - and I believe IS the latest build (version 11.5 - Build 5315 ... \

Here's snapshot of the error:

Hi there,

Is there some way I can still download the HTML5 pack for Dreamweaver CS5??  I purchased the Web Premium CS5 package last year and do not want to upgrade to CS5.5 just yet given that it's only been a year!

Thanks!

When i use that link I get "The estension 'Dramweaver HTML 5 Pack' does not contain valid signature. The extension will not be installed."

Wonder why?

Hi tousled,

The features that are in the HTML5Pack extension for Dreamweaver CS5 have been "baked in" to Dreamweaver CS5.5. There is no extension  to install to get these features.

For the error, try solution 1 in this document: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/843/cpsid_84344.html

Cary,

Thanks for the quick answer - I wasn't sure if it was baked in or not. WHat I am TRYING to do - is to embed a MP4 file into a web page - and format the page in HTML 5. However - I dont' see where that is an option - and THOUGHT that just opening an HTML 5 new page - would enable tme to do that. Am I going about this - in the wrong way?

I SO appreciate your help! (Rick)

Here are a couple of tutorials on adding <video>s into your page:

http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/embed_audio_and_video_in_html_5_pages/

http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/video/basics/

There are also several widgets/extensions out there that will help you insert video, including the Kaltura player (which you can get in Widget Browser): http://html5video.org/blog/kaltura-html5/

If you would like to see this function differently in Dreamweaver (i.e. be able to avoid going into Code View), be sure to let our development team known directly: http://adobe.ly/DWReq
