Hi its Alex,

I have come across a problem with my Extract panel in Dreamweaver.

The Extract Panel is not available to enable in the "Window|" tab, see the pic "WindowTabNoExtract".

I went to the "Perferences" tab to check if there was a setting issue but the "Extract" is NOT listed in the "Category" list.

I seem to have some how "Lost" my EXTRACT panel !!!!!

Can anyone offer any suppport to this problem Please ???

Let me know.

Regards

See screen shots attached, Thanks.

That's right.  Extract was removed from Dreamweaver on July 1st.  This is not a bug.

Going forward, you must manually export CSS from Photoshop Layers.  Copy & paste the CSS into your external stylesheet and save.   Be sure to give each style an understandable selector name and add that selector to your markup.

Common examples of selector names:

  1. TAGS:  body, header, main, article, section, footer, h1, h2, h3, p, ul li, ol li.
  2. REUSABLE CLASSES:  .class_name, .abc-123, .ClassName.
  3. UNIQUE ID: #id1, #Id2, #ID3 (can be used only one time per document).

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your feedback.

Following the community discussion in the link you attached, it is mentioned that Dreamweaver as whole is about to be terminatted !!!

Is this correct???

Kindly clarify.

No.

Adobe has not made any termination announcement.  But Dreamweaver is not receiving new features. It is minimally maintained now for the benefit of current users.  I still use it alongside my other web authoring tools.
