extreme frustration with DW extension manager and problems installing Webassist

have spent far too long following instructions to no avail...

Basically I have DW CC 2017 installed and have downloaded the appropriate Extension Manager CS6.

I wanted to download Webassist Free tools MXP and instructions advise that I will need to convert

to ZXP which I have also done.

However when clicking on this file, pop up appears saying 'This extension cannot be installed as it requires

Dreamweaver 9 or greater'.   I do not want to upgrade my DW.  Why is this not working.

I also tried with later version of Adobe Extension manager for CC and no luck.

What to do now please in simple step by step instructions! Thankyou

I also use WebAssist extensions and I've found that the free EM from DMX Zone worked well for me in all versions of DW as well as PS, AI, etc... Give it a try.

Get Project VII's Extension Manager PVII Extension Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe abandoned their own extension manager after CS6 and requires you to either use a good third party version, like PVII's or go into command lines to install extensions not available on their Add-Ons page.
