Fail to upload

I have not used Dreamweaver in a few months.

I just went to make a small edit to a page.

I clicked the Put button from the local file and got the error below.

I also tested the connection and it quickly passed, so it does not appear to be an FTP issue.

I have a 1GB connection, so I do not beleive it is me upload speed.

shops_enter\shops.cfm - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put shops.cfm. Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.

File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.

File Transfer failed due to following reasons:
- Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.

shops_enter\shops.cfm

    See screenshot. 

    Verify that your log-in credentials and root directory are correctly entered in the Manage Sites > Setup panel. If unsure what credentials to use, contact your hosting provider. 

     

    If the TEST fails, use FileZilla S/FTP client to upload files while you troubleshoot with DW.

    I would start by double checking site connection details. You may need to try recreating the site definition. There was a similar discussion here that ended up being a path issue on the server that caused this error in DW that you might want to reference as well:
