Hi. Is fireworks 4 macromedia compatible with Adobe dreamweaver cs5.5? Can I edit art work in fireworks and connect it with dreamweaver ?

Thanks!

If you can get the oldies to work with your operating system, then there should not be a problem.

I don't have CS5 or 5.5 so I don't know if it contains a direct connection to FW Editor.    But you could probably edit images in FW as a separate app,  Save for Web to your local site folder and then insert images into the DW project.

Ok. Thanks. That's what I thought. I can buy a used version of fireworks for $25. Risky?

    Thanks again!

I think if you look up "risky" in the dictionary, the third entry is:

"Purchasing software far below retail price through random online entities"

But, for $25 (scanned repeatedly by anti-virus/anti-malware software) it's hard to pass up. If it ends up being infected, $25 won't typically break the bank as you clean the infection off your system.
