Forgot Dreamweaver password

I got a new laptop and forgot my password that's saved on my older one. I know there WAS a quick way to recover it from the settings where the password encrypted is but I cant seem to do it this time.

I recently changed it in Aug 2022 and thought I saved the new password. What I saved did not work for the new laptop. It does work on my old one. Nancy, you helped me yrs ago...I was hoping to reach out to you directly 🙂

Thanks in advance

Barb

My hosting co has a differnet log in and password......I have all the other settings correct because I see them on my other laptop and can FTP from the old laptop...I created that password that is in dreamweaver...Not sure if Dreamweaver support can help...I have no other way to get my password. I only update my site from Dreamweaver and from no other source.

Adobe does not know what your server password is. That's not their concern.

Keep using your Laptop.  On Monday pick up the phone and call your web hosting provider.  Only they can tell you what your server's password is.

Next time write down your important passwords and store them in a safe place like your desk drawer or a file cabinet.

Not sure what password you mean.

    1. Computer Password is unknown to anyone but you.  Changing computer passwords is done at the OS level.

    2. Hosting Server ID and password is between you and your hosting provider.  You should have an email from them with that information

    3. Adobe ID and password are required to log-in to Creative Cloud services.  Again, not something anyone here can help you with.  Changing passwords can be done form your online Adobe Account below.

Failing that you would need to contact Adobe Support for assistance with your Adobe ID and password.

That's your hosting server's password.  Contact your hosting provider for correct log-in ID, password and root directory.  Server log-in credentials vary by hosting plan.  See screenshot from Manage Sites panel.
