Suddenly I cannot FTP with Dreamweaver.  Error messages in the log say for example what's pasted below. Also files have disappeared from the ISP server.  The ISP says it has to be DreamWeaver's problem because files just sit on their server.

js:bootstrap.js - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put bootstrap.js.  Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.

File activity incomplete. 20 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.

File Transfer failed due to following reasons:  - Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.

You mean you odn't have a real web host yet?   A free web space with your ISP might seem like a good starting point but there is very little server space and not much room for expansion.   Maybe you've outgrown that space and you cannot upload any new files until you remove some old ones.   How much available server space do have?

Have you tried toggling Use Passive FTP under your site settings?
