I have installed DW on my second PC, but cannot connect to ftp.  Have toggled the various ftp settings and suspended the firewall, still no connection.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

What is the difference between the 2 pc's? What OS are we troubleshooting on. What error is the FTP log generated (Site --> Advanced --> FTP log)? Are they both being tried from the same network or different networks?

In addition to the questions posed by @Ben107584 M, it would be helpful to know if you imported or manually created your site definition.

Try connecting with free FileZilla S/FTP client.

    https://filezilla-project.org/download.php

    Click the Green Download button.

If that doesn't work, then the problem isn't in Dreamweaver.

Contact your host to ensure you have the correct server log-in credentials and Root Directory.

    Try clearing Dreamweaver's cache.
