"GeoTrust" seal not displaying in Dreamweaver

Hi Guys, I am new to designing secure websites. I am in the process of designing a website in Dreamweaver.  I have a “GeoTrust” ssl certificate correctly installed on my server.  I have not yet published the website as I am still designing it.  I have embedded the code necessary for the GeoTrust “seal” to display on my website.  The seal is not displaying in Dreamweaver, will the seal only display on my website once I have published it  I also have purchased “SiteLock” – the SiteLock seal is displaying in Dreamweaver, but not the GeoTrust seal.  Appreciate your feedback. Thanks for your help in advance.

    SSL seal of approval only works on the actual server that contains the certificate.  Upload the page to your server to test it.

      Are you reviewing in live view or design view? For any work, you should always either test in live view or the better solution of using a testing server and testing in your browser. Design view should only be used for loose approximations.

      Hi Ben, thanks for the reply - I am viewing it in my browser - I'm not using asp or php as it's a static website - can I still create a testing server - don't know how to go about this? Appreciate your help

      I spoke to GeoTrust, and they said that the seal may not display until the website is actually published. Hoping this is the case.  Appreciate the feedback. Cheers Amanda
