Not a bad try for a beginnner. Some html tags, such as the <img> tag are 'self-closing' meaning you don't do this:

<img src="myLogo.png" alt=""></img>

You do this:

<img src="myLogo.png" alt="">

Unlike, as an example, a heading tag which does have a matching closing tag:

<h1>Heading</h1>

Please review HTML5 syntax.  It's not the same as HTML4 or X/HTML syntax.
