Going from ASP TO PHP

I have been with this company for the past 10 years and NOW they are no longer going to support ASP and they are only going to focus on PHP. Is there a program that will convert asp to php? Is this even something I should attempt as I do not know any coding except what I have learned along the way. Thank you in advance.

Indeed.

What I really like about PHP is that I can do in one or two commands what
would take me 8 or 10 lines of code in VBScript. And David Powers.... 8)

1. even if you find one dont use it, it will probably cause more problems then good. If they were created in dreamweaver, open each page, remove all the server behaviors, change to a .php extension, and create new server behaviors. Might seem painful but really the only way to get it done right.

difference between webassist and interak is, (even after all this time)

interakt product did what it said on its label, but webasssit didn't..
webassist has and still does mislead it customers.

Not really. If you do a Google search, you'll find a few programs that
claim to do so, but it's not a simple process.

If you're going to use any technology, you should make a concerted
attempt to learn it.

A similar argument was made when InterAKT was acquired by Adobe and
support for many extensions was terminated. Yes, it's annoying if
something that you buy is no longer of any use, but extensions - like
software - have a limited lifespan. If you got zero value from them,
there's cause for complaint. But the cost of even an expensive extension
is a fraction of what most developers charge for a project. If it did
the job as advertised, you got your money's worth. If you don't want to
get caught out in future, learn to develop without relying on extensions.

i would go t the movie but having paid so much for my webassist extensions,
and really support them for many many years i am really sad that they treat
there custosers with such contemp and in some ways fruad, I was told that
there extenions would do something like point and click, but even with some
asp experienct they lied big time and took my money.
I can no longer afford to go to the movie as they promised so much and bla
bla bla, ay way.

any way when was the last time you were in London

cheers

Read the original post. Your comments here are misplaced - the original
post has nothing whatsoever to do with WebAssist. At least there is no
mention of it in the original post.

Relax. Go to a movie. Have a large popcorn! 8)
