So.. i'm really new to HTML and i've got it all set up after following one of the templates and going from there, and so i'm ready to export it but i only have a HTMl and a CSS file but thats it, and it doesent look like in the preview at all when i do upload it to the web server. I've probably missed something obvious but i'd love some help on this!

First image is when i open the .html fire on my machine second is on the live server

    in the HTML file does the path for the CSS is relative to the document, and if so does it respect the tree...

    I mean, if you CSS and HTML are located side by side in the folder, the path should look as

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="yourfile.css">

    if the CSS is in the folder called STYLES (the name is a pure exemple, you can use xhatever you want, without space, and respecting lower and upper case), the folder being at the same level than the HTML file, the link should be something like

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="thefolder/yourfile.css">

    Dreameaver doesn't export HTML files.  It UPLOAD files with built-in FTP.  And for uploads to work, your site must be defined correctly.

    What's the URL to your website?
