Hi frustration with restrict access - php

Hi it's me with php and Dreamweaver mx 2004.
I am testing locally and have had no trouble with restrict access with username and password only.
But now it just won't work, it keeps saying that I have entered a wrong username or password ( my error validation ).
Yes I have changed the code so that the Globals and session register are no longer there.

Would anybody have a clue?
I will place code if you need it but thought mabe others have had this trouble before and know of a fix.
