Question

How can I make Invisible files visible again in DW!

I know these invisible files are there because I can grab them individually where they are located in the list and they appear, but unless I can see them all, I can't find the pages I want to edit.   How can I make them visible again; this occurred after I reinstalled DW6.  And it's not most of the files in the website, but one long set within a single folder that only half appears.

It sounds like you might need to Refresh the Files list.

I'm not sure which version of the program you are using though (DW6 is much much older than DW CS6).

Click in the files window and hit F5 or you can click one of the circular arrow icons in the same window. One is Refresh, the other is Synchronize, mouse over them to see a tooltip to verify the right one. You want Refresh.

If that doesn't help, we're going to need more info as to what's going on here. Verify the program version, OS, whether you're using a Defined Site or just browsing to files on your desktop, etc...

Thanks for your help.  Am familiar CS6 circular arrow to refresh, but that didn't do anything.  Same files on 'remote server' as on 'local view' can't be seen.

Mojave 10.14.4 -- just installed a few days ago. Got me on 'Defined site'.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

CORRECTION: These are technically not what are called 'invisible files' just regular jpg & html files that are suddenly invisible and inaccessible!
