how do i disable cache and have it stay that way

I go into site set up > advanced setttings > local info and UNCHECK "enable cache" and that speeds things up but when i close dreamweaver and open it again the "enable cache" button is checked. how do i disable cache and have it stick?

    I have checked and unchecked several times and the selected mode has stuck each time.
