Question

How do I edit Server Behaviours, to make Sticky's uniquely identifiable?

Hi all,

I am using Dreamweaver CS3, and I am getting a message saying:

"The Server Behaviour Panel cannot determine whether 'Sticky Text Field' or 'Sticky Edit Field' is applied to your page.

Please select Edit Server Behaviours and change one of the two Behaviours to ensure that each is uniquely identifiable.

How do I edit my Server Behaviours to make my Stickys uniquely identifiable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Since Sticky Text Field and Sticky Edit Field server behaviors are the names of custom server behaviors in my books, I presume you have a copy of "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3". The answer is at the top of page 497. If Dreamweaver objects to the use of the same parameter names in more than one server behavior, change the names of the parameter in the second server behavior, e.g., change @@FieldName@@ to @@Field@@ or something similar.

Hi David,

I did change the parameter names as you suggested in your book, top of page 497, before I posted my original question on the Dreamweaver forum.

I have also deleted the original server behaviours and started afresh, nameing the parameters @@Field@@ , @@FieldInfo@@, @@Field_Info@@,

@@FieldDetails@@ etc.

However, Dreamweaver is still displaying the same message and displaying the two server behaviours in the server behaviours panel.

Would it help if I created the server behaviour, without copying Sticky Text Field ?

Thanks.

Hello,

Can anybody answer my question please, I have already done what David Powers suggested, several times, but it hasn't helped.

Is there another reason why Dreamweaver can't tell the difference between the two sticky fields?

Thanks.

P. S. It's been a few days now and I still can't sort out this problem, Dreamweaver just doesn't want to recognise the difference between the two fields, please can anyone help?
