Question

How do I stop this annoying banner from showing up?

I just use DW as a code editor.  I don't want to use the site feature - I tried it once and it interferes with the rest of my local environment.

Even though I deleted the site, every time I save this banner pops up and there's no "don't ask me again".

I'm pretty close to kicking DW to the curb and this might be the proverbial straw that does it.

    1.  The "Dynamically-related files cannot be discovered..." message is not massively intrusive.  It occupies a small portion of your workspace and does not interfere with other code editing functions.  Other than defining a site folder, there is no way to override it.  Sorry.

    2. If you can't or won't define a local site folder for your projects, maybe Dreamweaver isn't the right tool for you.  Unlike other code editors (see list below), Dreamweaver is also a site assets manager.  🤔 🤔

    CODE EDITORS:
    -- Codespaces (free, browser-based) - https://github.com/features/codespaces

    -- Notepad++ (free) - https://notepad-plus-plus.org/
    -- Nova (Mac only, formerly called Coda) - https://nova.app/
    -- Pinegrow - https://pinegrow.com/
    -- Sublime Text - http://www.sublimetext.com/
    -- Visual Studio Code (free) - https://code.visualstudio.com/

    Well OK.  Thanks for the condescending response. It's a reminder that Adobe clearly doesn't understand - and doesn't care - that longtime users don't like intrusive "features" and changes to UI/UX that serve no purpose except keeping their developers and marketing departments busy.  I have BBEdit and VSCode, which don't bother me with any unnecessary banners and pop-ups, and let me manage my development environment the way I choose.  DW is done.

    How can a response made by a user of Dreamweaver, like yourself, be condenscending???

    It looks like you have already migrated away from Dreamweaver and think that VSCode is a great option. It certainly is my number 2 go-to.

    Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!
