How to Find in Dreamweaver when files locked?

We've put out ColdFusion site under source control (TFS) and that has caused our files to become read only.(locks visible in Dreamweaver). Now I discover that when I try to Find some text in a selection of files, Dreamweaver will only search through the unlocked files., e.g., If I select 100 files and only 3 are read-write, it reports 'Done. Not found in 3 documents'.

We are using Dreamweaver 8. Will a later version fix that? Any other suggestions?
