How to get around Adobe's Dreamwoven rigidity?

How switch Dreamweaver CS4 from OS 10.6.8 to OS 10.10.5?

I have partially activated Dreamweaver CS4 on OS 10.10.5, an upgrade computer from an older iMac with 10.6.8 . I’ve got the serial number, but when it asks for a previous version it limits choices to GoLive CS2 or it asks for Adobe GoLive 9.0. I had Go Live 6, 1033-etc. It won’t accept that number.

One Adobe tech told me about using a Challenge Code, but then her supervisor intervened and said we don't support CS4. Anyone know ways to get around their rigidity?

Thanks for noticing, Nancy. I got locked out of my program, so I'm now trying a download edition.
