Question

how to prevent Dreamweaver from opening across two monitors?

I recently upgraded to Windows 11.
Now, when I open Dreamweaver, the main panel is spread across 2 monitors, and some parts of the main panel extends outside of both monitors! I need to manually resize the workspace in order to start working. Verry frustrating!

I have tried creating a new workspace layout (which solved the same problem in Illustrator) but that did not help in Dreamweaver.

Thanks Nancy, but that doesn:t answer my question. I am very familiar with using DW on multiple monitors (15+ years). However, I am new to Windows 11. DW now behaves differently. When I launch DW, the main panel opens very large - the bottom and right side are well off of the screen.

Have you tried restoring preferences to see if restoring DW will reset it's layout to the single monitor so you can adjust the workspace from there? https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html#:~:text=Hold%20down%20Cmd%20%2B%20Option%20%2B%20Shift,Preferences%20dialog%20box%2C%20click%20Yes.
