In the mean time if anyone has further thoughts then please let me know. I have heard of a program called secure html lock 1.3.6 but i dont know how effective it is or if its compatible with dreamweaver.

For pictures, the best approach is to add a watermark of your url to your photos. This will probably prevent someone from using them. You can use the PHP GD library to add a watermark dynamically.

The only way to ensure that is to take down the site completely.
Obviously that's not an option.

As said - this is definitely and absolutely I M P O S S I B L E. You
have to accept that. If something is published in the web, it can be
used and abused. In case of the latter your best chance is to take legal
steps. You can't do anything technically.

Thanks Murray but it still does not solve my problem completely, my client has had text and pictures stolen from there website and they have been used on a rival companys site. they have asked me to make sure this does not happen again so i need to be able to lock the pictures and text, to stop anyone clicking, copying and printing the right click works but you can still copy from the brouser. so i still need some help on this(tried to e-mail you but it bounced back)
