How to show an ETX character

Dreamweaver CS6, by default, doesn't show ETX (end of text) characters. There are some html editors that show it, and at least Firefox, among browsers, shows it in the Web Developer window as a square. It happens that text pasted from InDesign files frequently bring those characters to DW and they end up only showing up in the final tests, requiring then a search using other editors in order to remove them. Is there a way to make them visible in DW? "Invisible elements" in Preferences doesn't seem to have that option.

When pasting text copied from your InDesign document, are you using Edit/Paste, or Edit/Paste Special? The latter will allow you to paste only the typed characters, not any extraneous formatting code around them.
