Many people use scripts, assets and fonts hosted on CDNs & 3rd party websites.  Obviously, you can't work with files, widgets or other online services without an Internet connection.  But if everything you do is self-contained on your primary hard drive, working offline should pose no problems.

Incidentally, the current version of DW is not ver. 20.  It's ver 21.3 with security enhancements (June 2022 release).

    Thanks a lot.
I have everything stored in my local hard drive so I don’t need to be connected. So it shouldn’t be a problem but it closes as soon as I start. Maybe is it a problem of settings ?

Does DW remain open when you ARE connected to the Internet?

Open Creative Cloud desktop app.  Are you logged-in to your paid Creative Cloud account?

Dreamweaver only needs to be online to "call home" every so often to verify you have an active subscription.

If all of your files are stored locally, DW will happily plug along without internet until the next time it needs to verify your subscription.

There are no settings or preferences to modify.
