    You should just be able to include a 'javascript back 1 page history' link to the subcategories page:

     <a href="javascript&colon;history.go(-1)">Back to subcategories</a>

    Warning: Where it says &colon; in the above code is an actual colon : not &colon;

    Not sure why this crappy forum changes the code,  poorly conceived and managed I guess. Nothing irritates a contributor more than having their code changed by a dumb forum, it doesnt help the process of helping, it just hinders it. Please pass my comments on to those responsible for running the forum, its about time these goof-ups were addressed, they've been around for a while now - thanks in adavance, knowing you will put it top of your 'todo' list, so on that basis we can expect a result by this time next year.

    Another one which constantly annoys me. Why does the 'm' of media get changed into cap letter and why when you edit the post does @217338 disappear completely?

    @Media screen and (max-width: 768px) {

    blah: blah;

    }

    A third annoyance:

    Why when you edit a post does it add extra blank paragraph tags between blocks of text where there was none before?

    Anyone else want to add to the list, feel free.

    @osgood_,

    For what it's worth, I've reported the munged code problem to the forum managers.

    JavaScript might work providing the subcategory main page exists within the browser's history in the first place.  But if it doesn't, this will have no effect.

    Thanks, just thought I would 'unload'. As you say 'for what its worth'.

    I'm assuming the process would be choose from category list, then subcategory list, arriving at the details page - so in my view the subcategories page must exist the way the OP described in their post.

    Please elaborate about what you're doing.  It's impossible to provide a meaningful answer without a lot more information, starting with progamming languages.
