I have windows 7 pro on my pc and cant get past the serialization wizard for dreamweaver4

I have an old pc that quit working and want to put my1997-2000 macromedia  dreamweaver 4  fireworks4 studio on my newer pc with windows 7 pro. I only have the two pcs and when i get the wizard to the serialization page and fill it out the "next" button is grayed out and wont continue. I have a virtual machine for xp installed on the windows 7 pro and tried to install it there and the same problem happened with the wizard. please help, i need to do my yearly website updates. I run a rental business and the calendar needs clearing etc.

    Your software reached it's end of life many years ago.  You got your money's worth.

    DW4 is a relic.  Get a  modern code editor.

      i don't have the money and this soft ware works for me. it was an  expensive full version

      The old activation servers are long gone for MX2004.

      You might be able to install using the info here though...

      I tried to go to an adobe registration page but the form says the number must be 24 digits and the activation serial number on my product is 16 digits long with letters in the beginning what do you suggest? it is 97-2000 product and the wizard that the cd initiates does not give a phone registration button prompt

      Did you try using the 24 digit serial number listed in the article?
