Question

Ignore folders on sitewide link check

I have a folder on my site that contains our user manual, and it really is not part of the main site. It appears to have literally thousand of broken links that aren't really broken. This makes it basically impossible to run a link check in Dreamweaver, because when I do so it freezes.

I really need to find the 20 or so truly broken links. Is there a way to ignore a folder while using the link checker? Thank you!

you can also as a workaround, select all the folder and files in your files panel, then unselect all the non wanted files and folder then use the verification pallied only on the selected files and foler from the broken links panel

Thank you! Very helpful. And I will also submit this as a feature request as Ben suggested.

It is not possible in the current version of Dreamweaver to exclude a folder.

I suggest that you temporarily remove the offending folder from the site.

I also suggest to ask Adobe to add the feature to Dreamweaver by going to Help -> Submit Bug/Feature Request

Edit: The preferred procedure is the one that Birnou has suggested in the following reply.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!
