Images won't display

Images are saved in the same format that they were before the editing.

i.e A gif image that would appear in the browser, but wouldn't appear after the editing.  The image was saved as a gif.

The same is happening with jpg images that would appear in browser from the downloaded zip file, but once I edited the image and saved as a jpg in RGB, now it wont appear in the browser.

PROGRESS - all images appear in EXPLORER but do not appear in EDGE?

Why is it that the images are appearing in one browser but not in the other?

Yes, I refreshed regularly. Closed down Dreamweaver and my PC and reopened.  Still same problem.
