Impossible to use CC 2017 on High DPI displays

Hi!

I've been using Dreamweaver CC 2015 for quite some time now with my 4K display but I can't get CC 2017 to work correctly on this screen.

I turn off Windows DPI Scaling for Dreamweaver because I need the actual 1:1 pixel scale to work with my web designs but the application windows won't fit correctly. It's nearly impossible to use. Is this a known issue? Does it work ok on a Mac with 5K screen?

Thanks.

Adobe just released a new updated version of Photoshop CC (end of January 2018) - and the app's  UI scaling  just DOES NOT WORK. Period.

The steps you mention above in this thread do not apply here - it is apparently A BUG within the software...

I use PS CC on Windows 10 with custom screen resolution. The app simply renders HUGE UI tabs and menu characters - and REFUSES to switch to the smaller-UI-element layout that was there before, just minutes ago (before I updated Photoshop CC) running without a slightest problem...

This is the case EVEN DESPITE I CHANGED UI SCALING SEVERAL TIMES - TO 100% WHERE IT SHOULD BE !!

UI scaling feature in the Interface Menu simply has NO EFFECT, whatever value you set it on....\

Adobe, this truly is NON-PROFESSIONAL.

I depend on this software, I teach graphic design - and I am in the middle of creating a new course on GD with the 100% scaled layout in all of my videos. I cannot work with this UI scaling, it is not possible to explain things that I already started explaining using the smaller 100% scaled UI interface!

Now, you LITERALLY MADE ME STOP my daily work (halt what I do for a living) FOR A NON-SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD - just because you most likely forgot to test and adjust the UI scaling feature in your newest update - which contains other new functions, btw., that I DO NOT NEED AT ALL - while simply killing the one core feature I REALLY NEED FOR MY WORK !!!!!!!!

Please issue a new update with the UI scaling functionality working ASAP ...

N.B. Can't believe I am paying for a program that has such lousy programmed UI scaling error (bug). Photoshop used to be so much better and more reliable when it was sold as a stand alone, non subscription-based, software.

Really, really disappointed. So many people depend on this app to work flawlessly, and UI scaling is one of its core features :-(

Why is this posted in the Dreamweaver forum?

Please add hi-dpi support.... I'm not bothering to upgrade my laptop or monitor until this is working properly.

Let me hop in and say I'm downgrading as well. I just switched from Mac to Windows (don't ask) and where I never had a problem on Mac, I've had all kinds of issues in Windows with all kinds of programs. Never did I think that Adobe apps would be lumped in there. And I'm only using 2 QHD displays so I can't even imagine what a mess it is on a 4k display! Don't know how much of this is Microsoft's fault vs. app developers though.

Adobe Published this.  Not sure if it will work for everyone but it fixed my issue (same as described by all above).

Dreamweaver CC 2017 does not display correctly on Windows Hi-DPI machines

Hi, paulr73731254

This makes the application windows work as they should but we get two bad things:

  1. Blurry texts
  2. 1.5:1 pixel scale (in my case, as my system is scaling the interface of UHD-unfriendly apps 150%), meaning a Live preview with wrong dimensions compared to the screen

CC2017 is not high DPI aware.

We'll be waiting at least one more upgrade before it functions correctly.

Before proceeding with the downgrade could you please try setting the text and folder size to 100% and let me know if that works?
