Hello,I am brand new to web design and am trying to build a simple website in my dev. I'm working on a desktop with Windows 10, I've turned on IIS (v.10.0.18362.1). I'm using the templates in dreamweaver and have created a few pages that all link together but have notices that even though they look great in the real-time preview I cannot get them to load correctly when navigated to through IIS. Since I'm new to this and have no coding experience I am not sure if it's an issue with those templates and how I've used them or if it's an issue within IIS. My limited knowledge of how websites work does make me think that maybe since i'm using "http" in IIS (I don't have an SSL), that is why they load without the formatting? Any tips or hints at where to look would be greatly appreciated!

Theoretically, is it possible to create a simple, interactive presentation or guide in XD, transfer that to Dreamweaver, then transfer that to WordPress as a functioning "website"?What I'm looking to do is create an interactive and shareable benefits guide - for instance "Click here to learn how to save money", or embed a video, scroll through this page or that, etc. Sort of like those Prezi presentations. What kind of skills would one need? Is using and connecting these three programs even possible?

Hello, all, I am currently using Dw CC 18.1 (build 10155), and I'm having issue with the fact that every time I click on a tag to edit it, the whole tag is highlighted.  I'd like to disable that feature, as I find the highlighted text difficult to read.  And it just distracts me from what I need to do for the edit. V/r, ^ _ ^

Someone called me wanting to configure their Shopify website, saying they needed the point-of-sale capability. I have used Cartweaver in the past, but I doubt it has evolved this functionality. Otherwise I have gotten familiar with the VirtueMart extension for the Joomla CMS, but do not believe it has POS capability either. Has anyone else been asked about POS capability when asked to do an ecommerce site? Or is the argument in favor of value enough? The non-basic version of Shopify is $79/month.

Hi there,I am experiencing problem with my website development in Dreamweaver. The problem is that all coding in live view suddenly became distorted and messed up. I have spent a year on this design and coding now it all seems gone. However, it appears normally when checking in browesers lik Safari or Mozilla. But as coding pages in Dreamweaver itself are in disorder, I cannot develpp website, html pages further. Highly appreciate if anybody could suggest how to fix it. Kind regards

I have been trying to correct this problem but I can't figure out how.As you can see my footer has somehow engulfed the table contents. I have tried to move it around. I've thrown out the old footer and replaced it but it still wound up engulfing the entire table. I need to separate them. Help!

Hi ya'll!Out of no where my Adobe CS5 programs stopped working. I haven't done any upgrades to warrant this outcome. Yes, I know CS5 programs are old - I only use Dreamweaver CS5 & Illustrator CS5 for minor editing of active files.

I just changed my macOS to 10.15.4 Catalina. In doing so, all my Adobe CS6 apps ceased working. So, I decided to bite the bullet and subscribe to Creative Cloud, which includes Dreamweaver 2020. I had been using Dreamweaver CS6 for years and it had the FTP info for dozens of sites I have worked on and that information no longer seems to be available in Dreamweaver 2020. I have a Time Machine backup of my computer from before Catalina. Is there a way for me to look through the Time Machine backup and find the file that is holding my FTP info for all these sites? Or is there another way I can retrieve this lost information?

I've never come across this before, but I have received some code from another developer who has media queries in place such as max-width:1199.98px and the next break-point is 1200px; so there's a difference between the two of .01px! Why .98px and not .99px? Is this a retina thing? Should I just change them to .99px? TIA

Can any of you kind souls show me how to move this menu into the middle of the page please?  I have tried the margin 0 auto thing on both the nav tag and also on the .menu class.  After fiddling around for a couple of days it still sticks resolutely to the far left edge!  The page is at: http://v45.ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/menu3.html Thanks

I just updated my DreamWeaver and now when I try to view pages using F12 the URL now shows up a #########/preview/app/index.html instead of my actual development site url and the page title shows up as "Device Preview".How do I get my F12 functionality back to the way it was before the update? I often have to share development pages before going live so need this ASAP.   

Help!  I recently updated my MacBook Pro to 10.15.3 and now Dreamweaver doesn't work.  How do I fix it? 

I am using: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz  with 32GB Ram with a 1TB SSD. I got this around 2014.  I use my computer for large php, html, css files and photoshop editing. When I click to switch between supporting files such as .css and .js files it can take half a second to a second and sometimes there is a lag when I click in a line of code to edit. Would a newer computer with a faster chip, newer/more ram help speed things up or am I asking too much?  

How do I get the space between tables to go away? I want the tables to be connected.

Hi all,I'm just getting back into DW after many years, so please forgive me if I've overlooked something.In order to have our site-in-progress online and discuss with colleagues who are now all working from home, we've set up a subfolder on our webspace, www.[our URL]/[subfolder name], yet the site is not displaying online. Server setup:In DW's server setup, the connection is with SFTP, the test button gives positive results;the SFTP address is [www.our URL],the root directory is [subfolder name]/,and the web URL is http://www.[our URL]/[subfolder name]/; Remote server:All relevant files appear on the remote server, index.html being in [subfolder name].  It's got to be something obvious - any ideas appreciated - many thanks

I've made a responsive website and didn't make it an updated template. I need the header and footer to update all the pages I've already designed. How do I make the header and footer a template that updates all the pages I've already designed??? Help!Thanks

First time question: I have made an error in coding and cannot see most of page in Design mode.I can see everything in Live mode but cannot edit, only in code view.I can see everything but content. And can't figure out what I've done wrong.If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged.I have attached code for page.It's something between  aside and content, I think....Thanks in advance,Diane

I need to redesign my clients website from Muse into Dreamweaver. I need some more information. My client wants customers to have the option to add products to a cart or order list and once this is done for that list to be emailed to their company email so their order can be fulfilled and shipped. My client doesn't need an online payment system or anything like that, just need a way for customers to add products to a list which at a click of a submit button can be sent to an email account in the office. How can I do this in Dreamweaver? PHP? Javascript? Do I need a third party plugin? Thanks![branched by moderator]

Hello great community 🙂 I have been trying to figgure out how to insert a marquee effect, the issue I'm having is that my text has a delay on apple devices.. Hello,  I do have some problems with DW 2020, I'm running on macbook pro late 2017 with the latest updates. I only open the files, edit them, simply copy paste and exit. And it crashes, for example today in 2 hours, for more than 10 times. Could someone help me with a solution ?
