Noting the absence of Dreamweaver 21.4 in the current list of Adobe apps supporting Sequoia.

Has anybody run into significant issues of Dreamweaver on macOS 15 Sequoia?

(I'm reminded of the Muse / TypeKit fail....)

    Hi @dw24154351

Thank you for pointing this out. While Dreamweaver 21.4 isn’t listed among the Adobe apps officially documented for macOS Sequoia compatibility, we’ve tested the more recent Dreamweaver 21.8 update on macOS 15 Sequoia and found it to work as expected without significant issues.

If you’re currently on 21.4, we recommend updating to 21.8 to ensure the best experience and compatibility with Sequoia. Please let us know if you encounter any specific problems—we’d be happy to help troubleshoot further.

    Regards,
    Ranjitha

Sorry, bit late to the party… but, no, does not work with Sequoia, shocking that it has not been updated for 5 years, as I need to use it, would like a reduction on my Sub to be honest, unless there is an Adobe alternative?...

I can’t attest to stability on Sequoia as I don’t use a Mac. But DW 21 works fine for me on Win11.

I sometimes use Visual Studio Code with Live Preview Extension alongside DW.

There’s also an experimental integrated browser feature.

    Hope that helps.

Hi Nancy, thanks for the reply… using a Mac, it definitely is not stable using Sequoia though… I would say 9 out of 10 boot ups fail, and the one boot up that maybe does work can often take roughly 10 mins to load...

So no one seems to have answered the original question: does Dreamweaver work in Sequoia?

    Most likely no.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

I'm not sure of the Muse / Typekit fail you are referring to. I never found Muse to be useful enough after an initial test to have it replace DW. There are no major issues that I have come across as a Mac user since the 14.0-14.2 issue of right click crashes.

Muse no longer works. It seems that they "disconnected" TypeKit and somehow that made the app permanently crash. It was a quick tool to pull together responsive sites at the time. I used it when I had to do sites of a couple of pages. DW was used for projects that involved more code integration or you cared about the quality of CSS.

I too can confirm that it works on 14.7. I'm more concerned about the upgrade to macOS 15. Adobe don't have an official position for Dreamweaver.

    • Sequoia is a newly released Apple OS.
    • Dreamweaver is in static development.  Nothing new is happening except occasional security updates.
    • DW hasn't received any major updates since 2021. The current release version is 21.4.

As backup, get an actively supported code editor to use alongside Dreamweaver.
