Javascript error manageExtensions

Gidday all from Downunder,

Help needed, thanks in advance.

extensions were working fine until a couple of days ago, now I can't access them via >commands>manage extensions in DW.

It brings up the following error window (twice, just to rub it in):

"While excuting onLoad in Manage Extensions.htm the following Javascript error(s) occurred:
In file "Manage Extensions"":
ReferenceError:manageExtensions is not defined."

I've tested a few installed extensions (frame buster, lorem, image toolbar, list-orama), and I can use them OK, except for super email.

I have shut down and restarted DW and the computer (XPSP2) several times.

I can still access the extensions module manager seperately, so via the extensions manager I have:
>uninstalled super email >restarted PC>restarted DW
>resinstalled super email>restarted DW> restarted PC

Oh, and I've downloaded and installed updater 8.1 and done it all again, and still no joy.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Cheers
J Palmer

Hi all

Found a solution over at the DW google groups from a post by Reno, who was having a similar problem. Solution which worked for me (and Reno):

Groups: macromedia.dreamweaver

Got this help from Randy at Macromedia:

1. Shutdown DW
2. Delete this file

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat

3. Restart DW
</quote>

Thanks to the folk over at groups.

I post it here so others looking at javascript errors in Dreamweaver will have somewehere to start.

Greetings all,

Additional info., as I'm using the app. and finding occassionally used functions aren't working either.

>commands>close tags shows window, tag sets to close and check box (checkable), but no sign of the "OK" command, so no "close tags" function available!

I dislike the idea of having to reinstall DW, so anyone out there with a tip on getting this resolved without doing that?

Again, thanks in advance.

Cheers
