I'm a little fuzzy on how this all works, so grace needed. But how long do I have to keep html files?  I have them on my computer from back in 2012. Can I delete after so long?

Correct answer Jon Fritz

The copies of .HTML files on your computer, if using DW correctly, represent your local site files. When you make updates to your website, you typically change the local files and then upload them to the server, replacing the remote files.

You will generally keep them as long as you have the website that uses them.

Thanks for the answer. So the files I'm referencing are tied to eblasts with special offers. So when the special offers are no longer valid, the html can be deleted?

If you don't want to hold onto them for archival purposes, the .html files on your computer aren't linked to those old emails, so you should be safe deleting them.
