Link from one page a specific place in another page,.

Question

I'm at my wits end! In GoLive and early versions of DW, it was so simple to add an anchor, name it and then link to it. I realise that anchors are long gone, I have read the current Adobe tutorial on linking, read through previous forum posts and I still don't get it. The best I've acomplished is creating a link from the index page to the actual photo (the photo comes up by itself, not on its page), I don't want a link to the actual photo, I want a link to where the photo is on the other page. Surely there must be a simple step by step to this?

Here is the code on the index page:

And here is the code on the page where I want the link to go to

You dont need the / after map.html also you dont really need the http:// domain name stuff infront of the link -see below for how your link should look:

<a href="vr%20map/map.html#telmap">

Also its bad practice to have spaces between folder or file names, should be:

vr_map not vr%20map

OK, I'm trying this again. I've looked up some sample code examples and have done everything they say but it's still not working, what am I missing? The code from my index page: And the code to where I want the link on the index page to go:

(I've since changed this code on the actual page as I didn't want a dead link on my index page.)
