I want a link on one html page to go to a certain part of another page. I control both pages. How can I do this? I tried <a name="three"> 3.) </a> and then tried my new URL https://carthagemills.com/work-with-carthage.html#three
but that URL takes me to a 404 page.
The link above works fine for me.
While the "named anchor" is considered an obsolete method for linking to specific content, it will still work, I believe in every browser. The more current method would be to link to HTML ids that are placed within the elements you want to link to....
