Live not actually live in Dreamweaver 's own panel

Just updated to whatever the newest version is to fix the find replace that kept crashing and crashing etc. NOW the "live" window/ panel is not live. I have to right click and "reload" it to see the changes??? I can;t delete in that panel, because it doesn't do anything!??!!?!?

I have to edit in the code panel, then reload to see the changes in the Live panel. This isn't looking at the browser, this is actually the main panel when you view "Live" (Code Split  Live   at the top)

So trying to fix one problem that may or may not have been fixed, has created another, even more annoying problem.

I reset preferences, restarted about 10 times, searched to no avail. I'm assuming this is another bug that is just part of trying to work with Adobe anything. I wonder how much productivity has been lost trying to make this and acrobat work?

  • Does this happen with all sites or just one?
  • Does this happen with all documents?
  • Are you working with valid code?
  • Are you working in a defined local site folder?
  • How many files in your site folder?

I have replied to your post on another message thread real time preview triggers only when I save the current file

Sorry I do not have time to continue to trouble shoot your program. Since the delays already slowed down my progress substantially, I do not have more time to put on this right now. 

For the next message from Nancy Oshea

It's only happening on the site I need to get done today. I can't spend more time on things that are causing me more delays. I've already spent hours trying to get this to work like it did last week.

Find replace seems to work after the one initial crash, but there's still half a day of work left.

it happens with all pages

code is valid. all html so not much to get wrong

site is defined and local

maybe 400 pages.

I can't reply back today, you were lucky I took time out on my lunch. Love spending time trying to get Dreamweaver to work like it did last week, but not many bosses care about program errors.

I can't post a video to announce the world i'm having problems with the site I'm building.
