Hi,  Live View has decided to stop working only get a report along the top informing me 'Flash Plugin was not found' and to install 'Firefox Flash Plugin' from www.adobe.com'.

Well, it is and has been.  Just redownloaded just in case but still no change.  I have also changed the default Browser to Safari with no difference.  Any previous issues or knowledge of this problem or solutions please.

Thanks

  • Flash is dead.  Nobody should be using Flash / SWF media in websites anymore.
  • Adobe announced the end of Flash Player support -- Dec 2020.
  • All major browsers (FF, Chrome, IE, Edge and Safari) have already stopped supporting the Flash Player plugin by default.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4520411/adobe-flash-end-of-support
  • Mobile browsers never supported Flash.
  • Use HTML5 instead of Flash.  You'll reach a lot more users.

Hi Nancy, thanks for reply.

I already use HTML5 but it's just the annoying message I keep getting when I attempt to use 'Live' view in Dreamweaver CS6  informing me it's missing when it's not.  Hasn't really given me much of a problem, it's just annoying!  Probably just me trying to be too perfect I s'pose!

I'll check out Adobe Support.  Thanks again.

Live View wasn't one of legacy CS6's strongest features.  It was based on an old webkit rendering engine that's no longer in use.  Stick with Code, Design and Preview in real Browsers.   Or else remove all traces of Flash from your code.
