Live view is not live

So, the preview window does not actually update live, it needs to be reloaded to reflect any changes made. After watching videos online of people using this feature successfully, I gather this is not the intended behaviour of this feature.

Does anybody know of a fix for this, its very annoying.

"Preview your page edits in real time without having to refresh your browser, and preview your sites on multiple devices at the same time."

That is as the wording says, 'Preview', which is live preview in the browser and devices, not live view. These are two completely different things.

If you are talking about the Real-time Preview in browser, then I think that you are being misled. After saving the document, the browser does refresh.

There is a problem with Chrome because of the browser's stubborn cache.

I mean the built in preview pane. Live view, its meant to be live, not triggered by a save or refresh.

Back in the days when live view was introduced and for the early CC versions live view did update automatically to reflect any changes made.

In later versions and especially the current 2017 version, this no longer happens and live view must be refreshed to reflect any changes made. This was probably done due to the number of complaints concerning program speed, as live view had to constantly watch for any changes in the code, taking processing time away from other features, and causing unnecessary delays to other more important features such as those used in code view.

2017, is not the fastest program to use in some set-ups, and the inclussion of more features that must also be 'watched', means other features such as live view had to be changed.
