live view with asp files

Can I use live view with asp files; is it possible to send views to the browser from 'real time preview' ?  I want to use Firefox mainly to use the grid feature.  Dreamweaver phone tech more or less said i have to install Wamp to use live view with asp files.  This seems odd but perhaps not knowing Microsoft.  Does anyone have some insight to this.  thanks very much for any input

    ASP and PHP files require a server to parse scripts.   If you're working in an ASP coding environment, you should have a Windows IIS local testing server.
