Looking for a good intro to DW. Not a how to make a site.

Question

I need to / want to become more familiar the DW interface and especially the file handling functions. Does anyone know of a video maybe on Youtube that can help me? Thanks!

You'll find tutorials on various topics in the Getting Started section below.

Dreamweaver tutorials | Learn how to use Dreamweaver CC

Tutorials on YouTube are not always accurate & up to date. There is no quality control.

If you want structured learning courses, I can recommend Lynda.com. Their courses are peer reviewed for accuracy and quality.

First you define a local site folder.

Site > New Site. Example: C:\MyTestSite. This is a critical 1st step toward managing files in DW.

The Files Panel (Ctrl+F3) is where you manage your files. Use Right-Click to bring up more options.

See How to manage and transfer files to remote servers from within Dreamweaver
