Macromedia Extension Manager Problems on Vista

Hi, I'm experiencing a problem in using the macromedia extension manager 1.7. When I run the application, the windows prompted me that my Kernel Files dont work or are missing. when i tried to reinstall the application, the windows prompted me that there was an error accessing the macromedia_extension_manager.msi file and it stops the installation. Curse this Windows Vista!!!! I'm experiencing a hell of problems. I wish there that someone here would help me. Thanks in advance.

If you look at the system requirements for EM 1.7, Vista is not mentioned ..
therefore, I am assuming that perhaps Vista is not supported. I would
assume you have DW 8 .. I don't know if DW8 will run on EM 1.8 or not, but
that is the EM on which I see Vista mentioned in the system requirements, so
perhaps that version is necessary.

Sorry I can't help more but I don't have Vista .. and the more I hear, the
more I think I will probably not have it any time soon!

Geee thanks for the help! It's working now with the help of Adobe Extension Manager CS3. I thought that extensions from dreamweaver 8 will not be accpeted in that application before and only Adobe CS3 extensions were the only one that would work but i was wrong. thank you again!
