Make link option greyed out?

I am unable to right click and make link while in the WYSIWYG for DWCC2017. it shows unclickable.

A few days earlier, I'd no such issues.

I'm using HTML5 pages. Even old pages where I had made links by right click are not working in similar fashion.

i tried CC 2017, not working at all.


I can confirm that this issue is seen with DW 17.5 on Windows 10.

I see it works fine on Win 7. Bug is logged internally, we will prioritize it for fixing.

i think the issue is with dreamweaver cc 2017 update. I installed the it on a different system using creative cloud application and i'm facing the same issue there too.

Have you tried installing an earlier version of DW?

I notice that you do not have anything selected. Have a look at the following

This is not an HTML (or similar) document

Give it an extension of .html and see if that fixes the problem

no, it doesn't. i've several other html files where i've tried to use link, but i cant.
