Question

Malfunction on my Files panel (spanish version)

Hi everyone,
since a time ago I've detected a minor although anoying problem in the Files panel, Adobe Dreamweaver 21.3 (this also happened in older versions). When I manage files, refresh or whatever action it is, the icons part in the top window starts to shrink like in the image.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Like I said is not "a problem", but I waste a lot of time: I usually need to close and restart the application.

Thanks so much in advance, have a nice day,

Have you installed on this machine, then updated, various previous versions of DW... and especially various families of DW... CS, then CC for example?

Yes. But this happens also in at least other two machines. In one of them, the last that I bought, I installed complete CC this same year. And the same weird thing happens.

Thanks a lot,

Looks like a graphics display or memory problem.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Adobe expects users to have modern equipment & OS no more than 2 versions back.  Most Creative Cloud apps work on these OSs:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, 21H1;
  • MacOS 13 (Ventura), macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur).

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, Nancy.
I'm afraid this is not the problem: I have enogh resources, and I work perfectly fine with all Adobe apps, including the most demanding ones.

Thanks again,

1. Bad or incompatible graphics drivers can cause rendering problems.  I've had this happen a few times on Windows 10.  Get the latest drivers from the graphics card maker's website.

2. Ensure that your display is using 100% (normal) text size.

Magnified text can cause text in panels to truncate or get cut off.

3. Ensure that your computer's display fonts are not corrupted.  Try using another screen font.

Go to Dreamweaver's  Edit > Preferences > Fonts.
