Go to Site ⇒ Manage Sites.

Define your local site folder, C:\\MySite\  where MySite is a folder on your computer's primary hard drive.

Enter your Server's login details. Root folder varies by hosting plan. If unsure, ask your server hosting provider.

When completed, export site definition settings to STE files and keep them in a safe place. If you should ever lose your site definitions in the future, you can easily import them from your saved STE files.

    Hope that helps.

Dreamweaver stores a local site definition for you to edit within the program. It contains connection details like FTP, as well as the local file storage information so it knows where the site is.

Has anything changed on your computer recently? Are you keeping backups that you can roll back to? If so, that is probably your best first option if the site definitions are no longer appearing. If you have backups of the definitions then you can restore them and point to the local site folder and everything should work fine at that point. If you do not have site definition backups, then you will most likely need to recreate them and get the connection details from your web host provider at that point.
