Question

Migrating old WEB sites into a new version of Mac OS

I have been using Dreamweaver CS5 for years.  I just upgraded my computer from OS Sierra to OS Ventura.  Of course Dreamweaver no longer opened in the new OS. I assumed that when purchased the latest subscription version of Dreamweaver,  my old WEB sites would migrate to the new Dreamweaver, however they did not and I cannot figure out how to  open the old WEB sites.  Can anyone help me with this?  Thanks.

In complement of what @Nancy OShea proposes, and if you have many sites, in order to avoid to parameterize them one by one again, you can use the STE files... https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/import-export-dreamweaver-site-settings.html

but considering your question, you must not have these files... anyway, you have this track to consider once your sites are configured

For first time Creative Cloud users, it's best to manually create new site definitions.  Imports from legacy Creative Suite and other devices may not work the same way on a new system.

The question does not arise, foo starts on a brand new system after reinstallation... And no STE is mentioned.

I submitted the proposal for the future by taking this kind of habit, which consists in generating STE for each new site that will be approached.

Short answer:  Define your sites so DW CC can find them on your new system.

Go to site > New Site > tell DW where your local site folder resides on your primary hard drive.   If you haven't migrated your site folder from old computer to new computer yet, you should do that now.

On the Servers tab, enter your server's S/FTP log-in credentials and root directory (see screenshot).  If unsure what those settings are, ask your hosting provider for details.

Hope that helps.  Post back if you need more help.
