.mov help on server

I uploaded an .mov file to our server ok.

When I insert a link to it, the code shows in as an image file.

How do I link to it as an .mov file?

Another multi-platform video transcoder that's worth mentioning is HandBrake.  And it's open source.

To put it bluntly, you don't.

.mov is no longer a valid option online as Apple has discontinued development of Quicktime for Windows and Firefox has dumped all Plug-Ins (except Flash, which will be dumped at a later date).

With HTML5, all modern browsers now have the ability to play MP4 video files built in, without need for a plug-in.

Convert your .mov to a .mp4 and use the html5 <video> tag to embed it, or link to it as you would any other page on your site and the browser will play it.
