He Jon, thanks, I didn't know. That explains the aloe vera (which has a sound), which I fixed now by changing the settings in Safari preferences.
Do you have any idea how to change it in my site to make it autoplay? Because the 'funny' thing is that the movie does load when it is in sight (do you know what I mean?)
I think that's just the way Safari works now, with autoplay not starting the video until it's "on screen".
Safari in iOS was changed to act that way, the second link I posted above mentions it specifically. To me, the first link talking about MacOS Safari (which is actually newer info that refers back to the iOS article) seems to imply that the desktop version now does the same thing, though it doesn't come right out and say it.
I don't have an updated enough Mac to test it though, sorry.
Most of the first page of results, when you do a search for autoplay video, isn't informing developers how to use autoplay correctly, but giving our viewers information on how to stop it from happening. That's very telling in my opinion.
Because of that, I generally steer clear of autoplaying videos at all.
